Mono line modulated by two random Sync Gates
Sync Gates (bottom left), used for modulation, are receiving triggers from Position block which is randomly assigning every fourth clock pulse to one of its outputs. Second and third Position’s outputs are connected to Gates’ RND inputs – gate durations are therefore random but maximums are still set by divider control.
Resulting modulation signals (green color) are routed to adjust:
- Starting point of Track S (First);
- Phase control of Source block.
Source block is not only passing values to Track (through Range and Readout acting as a quantizer) but is also masking Scale block – removing some of the notes from the selected scale (all Link values below 0.5).
